Shooting Schedule

As for my shooting schedule, I am trying to aim to film within the early weeks of October 2010, as two of the band members are currently away, they are going to send me the dates to which they are free. When I receive these dates I will then be able to set a date to film on, but until then I am not sure on the dates.

I have recently sorted out my filming dates, I am going to film on the 9th October 2010. I have to be organised and on the ball as I have to film my entire music video on that day. Within my story board I have a shot which takes place in the early hours of the morning, the shot is a long shot of the band on a children's roundabout, singing the song. I only need Ian and Dave for a couple of shots, so I am going to focus on the shots they are in at the beginning. Most of my other shots I can film later in the day as I will not need Ian or Dave.

The first shot I am going to film is the entire band on the children's playground. I had a really good idea, to add a dream world into the video, I am going to zoom into Dave's Eye, which will then turn into a blackout, and a long zoom shot of the band playing the song on the children's roundabout. This dream world will be colourful and vivid, compared to the life we are used to seeing. Throughout the second chorus, the roundabout will be moving slowly, I will have to cameras shooting the band so I can capture the band from different angles. This creates the effect of a dreamworld, which contributes to the lyrics of the chorus. I have split my shooting schedule into three sections, 1 being the main shots with the whole band, 2 being shots I can do with just dave and 3rd the ones I can do at another time.

First shots I am going to film:

• Tracking Shot of children's roundabout.
• Long zoom of the band standing in a triangle.
• Zoom shot into Daves eye - Blackout.
• Fast zoom out of Dave's eye.
• Low angle of Dave putting jacket on.
• Medium shot of him walking out the door and towards the bike.
• Medium/low shot of him getting on the bike.
• Close up of the bike lowering down.
• Close/medium shot of the bike revving.
• Long shot of Dave driving away in the distance.
• Dave recording in the studio, range if angles/
• Side shots of Dave's face - beginning of song.

Second Shots:

• Long shot of a silhouetted figure in the door.
• Medium shot of the bags dropping on the floor.
• Close up of his feet walking.
• Low angle of him kicking his shoes off.
• Close up of him turning the stereo on.
Over the shoulder of him turning the volume up.
• Close up of feet walking back to settee.
• Long shot of him walking to the fridge.
• Over the shoulder of him getting a beer.
• Close up of him getting some ice.
• Medium shot, of him slamming the bottle down (in focus + full bottle)
• Close up of lifting glass.
• Grabbing another bottle.

Third Shots:

• Extreme close up of the stereo firing up.
• Close up of the phone.
• Close up of the picture.
• Low angle of bottle swinging.
• Close up of beer pouring into glass.
• Close up of an empty bottle.
• Dripping in the glass.
• Extreme close up of beer in the glass.
• Pan over top the magazine.
• Close up of article about his wife.
• Zoom in to the image on the bottom left - ( coming to life)
